Many experts believe that attunements similar to those we know as Reiki attunements may have originated in Tibet thousands of years ago. The Four Degrees of Reiki Reiki Degree 1 (Reiki Healer) is for people who want to develop the capacity to heal by direct touch (both for self-healing and others in need). This is the first essential step for all Reiki healers. The energy centres are opened to allow the channelling of the Universal Life Force Energy for healing. Both experienced and novice healers experience a considerable increase in the healing power channelled. The cost of the training is £70.00. Reiki Degree 2 (Reiki Practitioner) is for those who wish to take a step upward in healing power and who wish to be more effective in healing at a distance and working with mental and emotional issues. Symbols (as revealed to Dr. Usui, the first Reiki Master) are given which enhance and focus the healing energy. “Hands on healing” is also more powerful. Psychic perception may be increased. You may now apply for insurance and set up as a Reiki practitioner. The cost of the training is £90.00. Reiki Degree 3 (Master Healer or Advanced Reiki Training): An intermediate level of training in Reiki Mastery may be received. The student receives the Master Symbol for use in healing and is taught advanced methods of hands on and distance healing. The use of crystal grids in distance healing, advanced breathing techniques for personal development. The cost is £125.00 Reiki Degree 4 - Usui Reiki Master is for those who wish to learn how to give the attunements to others and who feel ready to take on a teaching role. This is not a step to be taken lightly, as those who have the ability to enable others to heal more effectively, take on a responsibility to share the gift with others. At this stage Reiki Healing becomes the predominant focus of a person’s life. The cost is £375.00.
